Congratulations to the 2025 Computer Science graduates for achieving second place in the DIGITOPIA competition — the largest informatics competition in Egypt.
The Computer Science students’ team also won third place and a 250,000 EGP prize in the Programming and Artificial Intelligence track.
The ceremony was attended by Dr. Amr Talaat, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, who witnessed the closing event of the first edition of DIGITOPIA, launched by the Ministry to discover Egyptian talents in digital creativity nationwide. The competition targets participants aged 10 to 35 years, competing to develop digital solutions that address societal challenges across three tracks: Software & AI Solutions, Cybersecurity, and Digital Games & Arts.
The July 2025 Computer Science Graduation Project achieved remarkable success by winning second place in the Cybersecurity track, along with a 600,000 EGP prize awarded to the entire project team of graduates, under the supervision of Dr. Emad Osman. ....

Shorouk Media organized an educational seminar entitled "The Epic of the Crossing and Heroic Deeds" on the occasion of the glorious October War, aiming to instill a sense of national belonging and to introduce students to Egypt's military history. The event was attended by Major General Dr. Ahmed Abdel Rahim, Chairman of the Academy Board, Dr. Mohamed Shoman, Vice Chairman, along with the Academy leadership, faculty members, and students.
The seminar hosted Major General Nabil Abu El-Naga, founder of the (999 Thunderbolt Commando Unit) and one of the heroes of the October War, who shared his battlefield memories and combat experience in the Crossing Battle, emphasizing that the October victory was the result of faith, determination, and meticulous planning by the Egyptian Army.
The seminar was moderated by media professional Dr. Ayman Adly. On the sidelines, a musical ensemble from the Egyptian Opera House performed patriotic pieces suitable for the occasion. The Supreme Council of Culture, chaired by Dr. Ahmed Hanafi, Minister of Culture, awarded the International Higher Institute of Media at El Shorouk Academy the State Encouragement Award for 2025 in the field of Media and Social Media for the documentary film “Hayy Palestine.”
The film highlights the suffering of the unarmed Palestinian people in the face of the Israeli war machine and portrays the painful humanitarian reality of the residents of the Gaza Strip. It does so through powerful visual storytelling and a human narrative that reflects the resilience of the inhabitants of “Hayy Palestine,” symbolizing the struggle of all Palestinians.
The film was produced by the Radio and Television Department at the International Higher Institute of Media and involved an outstanding group of students: Farha Gamal Hussein, Maria Atef Waleem, Farah Mohamed Fathy, Farah Mohamed Hussein, Ramaj Mohamed Shaaban, Gharib Reda Gharib, and Martina Wagdy Makhsous.

At the heart of engineering and technological advancement, the Architecture Program at El Shorouk Academy stands as a beacon of knowledge and creativity, equipping its students with the latest tools to meet the challenges of the future.
This year, for the 2024/2025 graduating batch, students’ final projects were utilized to train them in integrating Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), and Walkthrough simulations with animation videos, transforming their graduation projects from mere concepts into unique experiences that reflect the spirit of innovation encouraged by the Architecture Program at El Shorouk Academy.
Students were trained to use Virtual Reality (VR) to explore digital 3D environments using specialized headsets (Oculus Quest), simulating walking through their designs and experiencing a realistic virtual representation of their projects.
They were also trained to use Augmented Reality (AR) to integrate digital elements (3D models, information) with the real world via mobile screens. Students applied this to display their projects as 3D models in the actual site environment.
Additionally, students learned to use C# programming or ARCore with AR extensions, as well as Walkthrough simulations, which allow navigation through digitally designed environments. They also trained in using 3D design software like Twinmotion to bring sensory experiences—sight, sound, and touch—into the virtual representation of their projects.
Through this approach, students mastered all these advanced technologies—Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, Walkthrough simulations—together with animation videos, turning abstract ideas into tangible, realistic experiences. This empowers our students to showcase their creativity in unprecedented ways.
The Architecture Program at El Shorouk believes that investing in these fields is a fundamental pillar for producing engineers and entrepreneurs capable of leading and shaping the future job market. She learned a lot from him, especially about respecting people and the profession. He had a unique vision for his work, and every moment in the film taught us something new.
