That is why we have been committed, from day one, to providing an educational experience that balances academic knowledge with creative skill development, refining behavior, and enriching students’ abilities in a way that makes our graduates stand out—equipped with the knowledge, culture, and character needed for personal and professional growth.
The Higher Institute of Engineering
Established in 1995 and grants a Bachelor's degree accredited by the Supreme Council of Universities in multiple engineering specializations, including: Civil Engineering — Architecture — Electrical Engineering — Electronics & Communications — Computer Engineering — Control & Measurement — etc.
The Higher Institute of Computers
Established in 2001 and grants a Bachelor's degree in Computers & Information. The institute now includes the newly approved programs: Artificial Intelligence — Cyber Security.
The Higher Institute of Mass Communication
Established in 2009 and grants a Bachelor's degree in Media Studies across various divisions. Graduates are eligible for membership in the Egyptian Journalists Syndicate and accreditation by government universities.

In response to the requests of parents and in the interest of our students’ welfare, The Council of Deans convened this morning and has decided the following: Registration will be reopened for the final time starting Monday, 2/3/2026, for a period of three days, ending on Wednesday, 4/3/2026, in accordance with the Credit Hour System regulations and the decisions of the Sector Committees. Registration will not be reopened again this semester under any circumstances.

The Ministry of Culture honored the student film team of the International Higher Institute of Media at Al-Shorouk Academy for their film “Hayy Palestine,” which won the State Incentive Award.
The Ministry of Culture honored the student film team of the International Higher Institute of Media at Al-Shorouk Academy for their film “Hayy Palestine,” which won the State Incentive Award – Social Sciences category, during the Egyptian Culture Day celebrations. The event was attended by Dr. Ahmed Fouad Hanno, Minister of Culture, along with a large number of artists, intellectuals, and media figures. Dr. Soheir Saleh Ibrahim, Dean of the International Higher Institute of Media at Al-Shorouk Academy, affirmed that honoring the “Al-Shorouk Media” student team for the film “Hayy Palestine” during the second edition of the Culture Day celebration represents a pivotal moment in the journey of both the students and the institute, reflecting the level of dedication and commitment demonstrated by the students and faculty members. She added that the film’s receipt of the State Incentive Award – Social Sciences category is clear evidence of the institute’s students’ ability to compete strongly in major national forums and to present creative works with genuine intellectual and humanitarian value, contributing to the enrichment of Egypt’s cultural scene. The film “Hayy Palestine” was supervised by Dr. Aya Yehia, Lecturer in the Radio and Television Department at the International Higher Institute of Media; Dr. Fatma El-Zayat, Assistant Lecturer in the same department; and media professional Dr. Dina Fekry.

The Administration of El Shorouk Academy extends its sincere congratulations to Dr. Mohamed Salah El-Sayed, Dean of the Higher Institute of Computers and Information Technology in El Shorouk, on the occasion of the institute’s students winning second place in the Information League Competition, held at the level of the Cultural Activities Departments of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. This achievement came as part of the activities of the Cultural Friendship Meeting for the 2025–2026 academic year, which witnessed broad participation from students of various institutes and colleges, within the framework of the Ministry’s support for cultural activities and the development of students’ awareness and knowledge. El Shorouk Academy Honors the Distinguished Artist Kamal Abu Raya in a Seminar Titled “Drama and Reality”
In recognition of his great artistic career, at the El Shorouk Media Theater, in the presence of the Academy leadership, the International Higher Institute of Media, and students, organized by the Journalism Department. The seminar was moderated by the art critic and journalist Mr. Mohamed Tuaima, with the participation of faculty members, assistants, and a distinguished group of media professionals, experts, and students.

Field Visit for Fourth-Year Students – Power and Electrical Machines Engineering Department
As part of supporting student projects and linking academic study with practical application, fourth-year students from the Power and Electrical Machines Engineering Department conducted a field visit to the S1 Substation in the New Administrative Capital, one of the most important transformer substations nationwide, operating at 500/220/66/22 kV. The visit comes in support of the students’ graduation project, which focuses on the design and study of a GIS substation with voltage levels of 220/66/22 kV, inspired by the ND5 – New Delta substation. The visit included a comprehensive on-site tour of the substation, covering: Power transformers, GIS systems, control and operation rooms, protection and communication systems, cable tunnels, AC and DC systems, as well as an introduction to the latest Online Partial Discharge Monitoring technologies. The Academy extends its sincere thanks and appreciation to: Siemens, UGEC Office, and the supervising engineers, for their support and constructive cooperation in enriching the students’ practical experience. The Academy affirms its continuous commitment to providing outstanding applied educational opportunities that contribute to preparing engineers qualified for the labor market.

Al-Shorouk Academy honored the renowned actor Kamal Abu Raya in appreciation of his rich artistic career and his significant contributions to television drama. The Academy also honored the film critic and journalist Mohamed Toaima. Major General Dr. Ahmed Abdel Rahim, Chairman of the Academy’s Board of Directors, presented the honorary shields to the distinguished guests amid a warm and enthusiastic reception.

The team of Computer Science students won third place and a 250,000 EGP prize in the Programming and Artificial Intelligence competition.
Congratulations from the Academy Administration and the Dean of the Higher Institute of Computers in El Shorouk Congratulations to the 2025 Computer Science graduates for achieving second place in the DIGITOPIA competition — the largest informatics competition in Egypt. The Computer Science students’ team also won third place and a 250,000 EGP prize in the Programming and Artificial Intelligence track. The ceremony was attended by Dr. Amr Talaat, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, who witnessed the closing event of the first edition of DIGITOPIA, launched by the Ministry to discover Egyptian talents in digital creativity nationwide. The competition targets participants aged 10 to 35 years, competing to develop digital solutions that address societal challenges across three tracks: Software & AI Solutions, Cybersecurity, and Digital Games & Arts. The July 2025 Computer Science Graduation Project achieved remarkable success by winning second place in the Cybersecurity track, along with a 600,000 EGP prize awarded to the entire project team of graduates, under the supervision of Dr. Emad Osman.

Students of El Shorouk Academy – Higher Institute of Engineering, along with the Engineering Students’ Union, participated with an honorable presence from the very first day among the Egyptian universities and institutions taking part in an international event showcasing the latest advancements in defense, armament, and engineering technologies. We were honored today to be part of the Egypt Defence Expo (EDEX) — the largest platform for defense and military industries in the region — with the participation of more than 100 countries, and held under the patronage of H.E. President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, the Egyptian Armed Forces, and a distinguished group of military leaders and professionals. Our participation in this major event comes with full support and sponsorship from the Chairman of the Board of Directors, El Shorouk Academy administration, and the Higher Institute of Engineering administration, in appreciation of the students’ role and their empowerment to engage in major scientific and engineering platforms.

Shorouk Media organized an educational seminar entitled "The Epic of the Crossing and Heroic Deeds" on the occasion of the glorious October War, aiming to instill a sense of national belonging and to introduce students to Egypt's military history. The event was attended by Major General Dr. Ahmed Abdel Rahim, Chairman of the Academy Board, Dr. Mohamed Shoman, Vice Chairman, along with the Academy leadership, faculty members, and students. The seminar hosted Major General Nabil Abu El-Naga, founder of the (999 Thunderbolt Commando Unit) and one of the heroes of the October War, who shared his battlefield memories and combat experience in the Crossing Battle, emphasizing that the October victory was the result of faith, determination, and meticulous planning by the Egyptian Army. The seminar was moderated by media professional Dr. Ayman Adly. On the sidelines, a musical ensemble from the Egyptian Opera House performed patriotic pieces suitable for the occasion. At the conclusion of the event, Major General Nabil Abu El-Naga was honored in recognition of his national contribution and his role in enriching the students’ awareness, amidst an atmosphere of pride and admiration for Egypt’s great military history.
