The Supreme Council of Culture, chaired by Dr. Ahmed Hanafi, Minister of Culture, awarded the International Higher Institute of Media at El Shorouk Academy the State Encouragement Award for 2025 in the field of Media and Social Media for the documentary film “Hayy Palestine.”
The film highlights the suffering of the unarmed Palestinian people in the face of the Israeli war machine and portrays the painful humanitarian reality of the residents of the Gaza Strip. The film was produced by the Radio and Television Department at the International Higher Institute of Media and involved an outstanding group of students: Farha Gamal Hussein, Maria Atef Waleem, Farah Mohamed Fathy, Farah Mohamed Hussein, Ramaj Mohamed Shaaban, Gharib Reda Gharib, and Martina Wagdy Makhsous.
The project was supervised both artistically and academically by Aya Yahya, Lecturer in the department; Fatma El-Zayat, Assistant Lecturer; and journalist Dina Fikry, anchor at Channel One, with overall supervision by Dr. Fatma Shaaban, Head of the Radio and Television Department.
